DSC00725.JPG Well, I had a 50-50 chance of getting it right. I decided to just hold it....

DSC00726.JPG On my way back to the hotel I pass by the Memorial to the Unknown Sailor again. Now there is an honor guard standing at the front of the memorial.

DSC00727.JPG Honor guard. I was told that they were high schoolers, and it was quite an honor to be selected to do this. They took it very seriously.

DSC00730.JPG The end of my run I run up Potemkin Stairs. 192 steps. 10 landings (which you can't see.) To the left you can make out the tracks used by a cable car (a "funicular") which can be taken up/down the hill instead of the stairs. Don't think I didn't consider it!

DSC00732.JPG Remember the picture I took a few days ago, showing a worker picking up one brick at a time and loading it into the backhoe, and, when full, the backhoe would dump the load into the truck? Well, as you can see with this picture, they finally figured out that the backhoe could scoop up the bricks AND dump them into the truck, making it much easier on the workers! So, naturally, as you can see, the workers now just watch! Hey - sounds like a good deal to me!
